Funny life it is..

I could have just pulled the bike out and drove home and that would have been just another perfect EOD at office. But I didn't. While I was approaching the bike, there were a couple of good looking girls chatting near their bike. Hormones played their role and the brain sent the right (rather wrong) signals to my hands and legs to get the bike off in tremendous style.

I tried nothing big. Just wanted to get on the bike and go through between two other smaller bikes which were hardly 10 feet away from the girls. There was lot of space behind, but I still wanted go through that gap.. I obeyed my ever-reliable brain and set off. My shoe lace got stuck somewhere (I still don't know where) and I lost balance (I still don't know how) and dropped my bike right in front of the giggling girls (I still don't know why).

I was wearing a helmet and the place was dark. So no issues. They wouldn't have recognized me. I wanted to get the damn bike up and quickly leave. But I wasn't able to. My leg had got stuck between the other bike and my own and I wasn't able to lift the huge 150cc bike. One of the girls recognized my situation and asked "Do you need help?". Help? to me? of course not! But I replied "Yes please".

She lifted the bike as though she did it everyday. I wanted to say "You are pretty strong!" but restrained from doing so since I wasn't sure whether it was the right compliment for a girl. But rather said a simple "Thank you" and left the place in the style of my own.

I was smiling all the way back home thinking how stupid I was. Shared the incident with my room-mate and we laughed out aloud.

P.S : The place was still dark and I was still wearing the helmet.
