One of my life ambitions(?!) is to tour Europe. And that almost came true with Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian. If you want to read a book that takes you to the some of the most beautiful places on earth, then pick this book.
The story is narrated by four different characters, a teenage girl, her father, her mother and the father's professor with the father's narration being the mainline of the story. All these characters are/were trying to search the same treasure - Dracula's tomb! And how they find it is the story. The author dig's deep into Dracula's history providing us some with fascinating facts. The author is terrific in her story description. There isn't any single moment in the entire book where you feel bored. Infact there are places, where you continue reading ignoring the ticking clock. If you'd liked The Da Vinci Code, you'd like this more.
Trust me. Read this and you will read it again.
